Pecan Pie

When our sugar cookie base comes out of the oven, we stamp down a swimming-pool-sized divot into the cookie where we scoop our made-from-scratch brown sugar pecan pie filling into.

This way, the cookie is a bit denser on the bottom and it actually feels like you’ve got your own little slice of pie heaven in your hand.
